According to online information, many or most of the trails are wheelchair accessible. The Bay Hiker website review describes and shows photos of a five-mile hike that looks close to ideal, if you're up for that distance. And, if that's too far, the Preserve is home to Deer Hollow Farm, a working farm, it says here, with a cow, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, an organic garden and turn-of-the-century ranch buildings of the late 1800s, only a mile from the parking lot. Details: From I-280, take the Foothill Boulevard exit, go about 0.2-mile to Cristo Rey Drive. Turn right and continue for about 1 mile; after the traffic circle, turn left into the County Park. The trailhead is near the northwest lot. Disabled parking is provided, and toilets at the parking lot and at the farm. No fees, no dogs (service dogs excepted) maps available at entrance. |
