Santa Teresa Park [Santa Clara County Parks] B - D; ?; 5+ miles         INFO              MAP

Since this park south of San Jose is featured in the Spring 2007 Bay Nature Magazine I mean to get there one day to see it first-hand. Meanwhile, judging by the information I have, the trails that are almost certainly wheelchair-usable are Mine, Coyote Springs, and Hidden Springs, while Rocky Ridge very likely is not. Signage is said to be poor, so we may never learn the names of any good routes we find, but I anticipate a nice time with wildflowers on grassy rolling hills, as long as there isn't a problem with mud or erosion.

Details: The Santa Clara Parks website claims facilities at Santa Teresa are mostly ADA compliant; at the Pueblo Day Use Area these include parking, restrooms, picnic areas and water. The $4 parking fee is waived if you have a DMV disabled placard. Dogs are permitted on trails.

To get there take U.S. 101 or Highway 85 to the Bernal Road exit. Drive west about 1.3 miles on Bernal, past Santa Teresa Boulevard, into the park. Continue uphill, and turn left, following signs for the picnic area.
